UKA Rules permit number PENDING
With the Cross-Country season already disrupted due to the current guidelines we are working within. The team behind the successful “Back To Track” series is bringing some form of Cross Country Racing to the North East
What is it?
XCR are 2km Cross Country Races. Each race will be run in line with EA guidelines, in a COVID Secure Environment and with a maximum of 12 athletes per race.
When is it?
Saturday 21st October from 10:00 to 13:00
Where is it?
Depending on the success of the initial fixture we may host fixtures in varying locations, always ensuring that we keep within a Covid Secure Enviroment.
The first fixture is to be held at Croft Motor Circuit, DL2 2PL
Who can enter?
The races are open to all athletes from age group under 13 and above. Age groups are in line with the England Athletics 2020-2021 Season age groups:
|U13||Aged 11 or 12 on 31st August 2020|
|U15||Aged 13 or 14 on 31st August 2020|
|U17||Aged 15 or 16 on 31st August 2020|
|U20||Aged 17, 18 or 19 on 31st August 2020|
|Senior||Aged 20 or above on 31st August 2020|
|Masters||Aged 35 or above on day of event|
How many races are there?
We are aiming to put as many races on as possible at each event, it may change dependant on entries, the initial timetable will be similar to this:

U13 & U15 athletes will race in the same races, U17 & U20 athletes will race in the same races and Senior & Masters athletes will race in the same races
Please note that to stay in line with guidelines, all races have a maximum time limit of 15 minutes.

The route is a 2km single lap course, based on the route that has been used previously for NYSD Cross Country Events:
How can I enter?
Click on the relevant event for the age group you wish to enter on the below table. This takes you to the entry process.
Please note that if you are entering more than one entry you need to do this one at a time and follow the process through to completion for each entrant.
Online entries only. Entries will close on Saturday 14th November or when capacity is reached.

In line with guidelines, there are no spectators permitted at the event. All athletes are permitted to bring one guest.
To follow track and trace guidelines, athletes, guests, volunteers and officials are required to print and complete the Health Declaration Form and hand in at registration on the day of the event.
