Training

Important Notice

Some training sessions are available to members only. If you wish to come along to a session as part of our 4-week trial offering, then please use the Contact page (subject: Coaching) to get in touch and we’ll advise where best for you to start.

Coach-led sessions at the track are limited to 8 athletes for every coach/assistant present. All other locations where coach-led training occurs can have 12 athletes per coach. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis. We’ll update this page as the guidelines are updated.

You will not be able to attend training if any of the points below apply to you:

  • you have any Covid-19 related symptoms
  • you have recently had a positive test
  • you are self-isolating due to exposure to a person infected with Covid-19
  • you have been requested to self isolate so as part of the formal NHS test and trace programme (contact-tracing.phe.gov.uk) wait inside
  • you have recently returned to/arrived into the UK from a country that requires an isolation period in line with current Government guidelines

All members should inform us as soon as possible if they have any Covid-19 symptoms or have a positive Covid-19 test after attending a training session.  Details of everyone who attends each club training session is recorded and made available if requested as part of the NHS test and trace programme

Junior Fundamentals (Track)

Suitable for ages 8-10 (school years 4 to 6). This group will follow a multi event based approach to training, with little focus on one over the other. This approach allows young athletes to pick up all of the fundamental movement patterns required for future training.
