At the Heaton Memorial 10km on Sunday, a race which sees competitors run around Newcastle’s Town Moor, mostly on man made paths with a small element that takes runners on the outskirts of the park on the public footpath. It was Drew Inglis who was first home on the day finishing 9th in an impressive 33.49 with Paul Cook 56th in 38.01 and Dave Mckenna 72nd in 38.47.
Peter Armstrong was next home in 108th in 40.25 with Sue Phillips hot on his heels in 113th in 40.40 and husband Martin 237th in 45.02.
