How long have you been a member:
Why did you start:
To train for the GNR (Great North Run) and vary my training.
Favourite type of running (Road, XC, T&F, Fell etc):
XC because I love mud!
Best event you’ve taken part in (and why):
GNR because of all the support you receive from the spectators; also it’s a local race.
Event you’re looking forward to (and why):
GNR again so I can attempt to beat my course PB.
What’s on your headphones while you train:
Varies…….Kasabian, Oasis, Artic Monkeys, Muse, Calvin Harris, AC/DC….to name a few.
Favourite training session:
Fartlek and I just like it!
Do you take your trainers on holiday? If yes, where is the best place you’ve trained/ran?:
No because holidays is about ruining your fitness ??
Pre race food & drink of choice:
Bagel with peanut butter and banana. Water and tea
Post race food & drink of choice:
Loads of lager and anything I can order if I’m coherent enough!!
Favourite place to run:
Enjoyed Edinburgh Half Marathon because it’s flat!
Best Club related memory:
There’s a few but Darlington 10k, out with the club all day enjoying everyone’s company. Shame it ended with me saying “I’m off to the loo” and ended up going home, leaving Jamie Baldasera to pick up my bill!!
