Sunday saw the Great North 10k which starts outside Gateshead stadium and finishes inside on the track. This is a great event, an out and back with a couple of hills thrown in but with some fast downhill sections. Paul Cook who has been in great form led out the pack in the 10k event going through half way in under 18 minutes however a torn thigh muscle shortly after the turning point put any thoughts of a pb attempt to bed as he limped home to the finish line. It was Nathan Hemingbrough who finished first Harrier on the day finishing in 39.24.
