On a fairly calm Sunday morning at the coast the Beacon 5km race and the new Zetland 10km were underway before the half marathoners were ready to warm up. In the 5km Paul Cook was first Harrier home in 9th place and 1st V40 in 18:03 with other category winners Linda Noble 24th in 21:09 and sister Sue Phillips 25th six seconds behind in addition to Emma Matthews 30th in 22:07 for a new personal best with Nicola Young also achieving a new best finishing 33rd in 22:28.
In the 10km race, same route except a little further before the turnback saw Alex Bos cross the line first for the Harriers in 50th position and Sarah Addison breaking the 60 minute mark finishing in 59:22 for a new best and Anna Stephens in 66:38.
