On Saturday 20th April Libby Hammond competed in the popular Doncaster Open focussing on the 800m. The weather was glorious at 24 degrees, the sun was shining and there was no wind or cloud cover which meant the race was going to be tough to run. However, Libby took it in her stride as usual and started the race with a smile. She ran well, slower than her best but looked strong in the heat and finished in an amazing 2nd place.
This was a super achievement and goes to show Libby enjoys her running, whatever the weather! She’s looking forward to more 800m races as the season progresses. Well done Libby!
