Andy throws down the gauntlet to Armstrong

On the 30th December, the club held it’s annual 5km handicap event.

Running off road at Blackwell, around 24 runners were involved which saw Colin Taylor first round the course with Andy Campbell-Critchley second ahead of former Harrier, and guest entry Mike Trees who’s previous nights ‘sherbets’ may have had an impact.

Due to the handicap system, based on 5km performances prior to the event, Andy was crowned champion for 2018 ahead of Chairman Ian Morris and Janice Foster in third place.

Should be an interesting Brass Monkey in January with Andy going head to head with Peter Armstrong.

Well done everyone who ran and big thanks to Lesley Miller, Ian Barnes and Robin Rutherford along with the marshals for the day.
