On a beautiful spring morning at South Park a large number of Harriers came along to support one of our club races of the season, the South Park 20. I can’t understate this enough but the efforts that go into these events by the people setting up, completing registrations, timekeeping, marshalling or at the water station is fantastic and without your support these events could not go ahead so thank you on behalf of the club!
From a running perspective we had a number of superb performances and many first timers over the distance as well as personal bests. Paul Allan finished a superb 1:58 for 2nd only beaten in the home straight with Colin Taylor also making the podium in 3rd place in 2:03. Jeff Miller was in majestic form smashing his previous best in 2:07 with many other personal bests including Tony Winward who signed after running this event last year improving by 11 minutes! In the relay again we had a number of competitors including ‘Lamp Lovers’ Louise Talman and Andy Park.
Well done to all runners, fantastic to see so many of you there.
